The dee ring sits somewhere between a loose ring and a fixed cheek, and that’s exactly why riders like it. Our range brings in Bombers Bits, Aster Titanium and Trust Equestrian Inno Sense, including the popular baucher design that hangs from the cheekpiece. The flat sides of the D stop the bit sliding through the mouth and give a clear, steady signal when you ask for a turn.

It’s a genuinely mild bit, which makes it a favourite for young horses and for anyone schooling on the flat. The baucher versions add a touch of poll pressure as you take a contact, encouraging the horse to drop its nose and work round without anything sharp happening in the mouth. Trust’s flexi soft and ported mouthpieces suit horses that fuss with a rigid bit, while the Aster titanium option is light and warms quickly to mouth temperature.

If you want more movement, the loose ring snaffle gives the tongue more room, and the eggbutt offers the same stillness in a rounder cheek. The full horse bits range is here, the full cheek if you need extra steering help, and the matching bridles alongside.
