The Kentucky Horsewear Mesh Fly Rug Classic protects all the body, the tail and the neck when using the included neck piece.
Fabrics & materials
The fabric along the mane, chest and tail area is nice and smooth thanks to the polyester lining. This has a soft feeling on the horse and as a result helps to prevent rubbing marks and makes sure no hairs stick to the rug.
The Kentucky Horsewear Mesh Fly Rug Classic comes in different sizes from 5’9 (125cm) – 7’3 (165cm), which we hope helps you find a size to fit your horse. The classic shape of the rug adapts to the horses body.
This new classic fly rug has a long tail flap and a detachable tail cord. Thanks to the tail cord, the tail stays close to the rug and offers more protection. The detachable neckpiece is reinforced with a thicker and stronger webbing, so it does not slide down the neck.
Because this reinforcement is on both sides of the neck, it doesn’t put pressure directly on the mane. As the details matter, the front closures and belly surcingles are silver to perfectly match the rug.
Machine Washable
Most of the Kentucky Horsewear products are machine washable at 30 degrees. However, we recommend washing it as infrequently as possible and using the Kentucky Protective Washing Bags in order to maintain quality over the long term.
Please note a professional washing machine with larger capacity will also help limit damage due to its size rather than a normal domestic washing machine.
To dry it, simply put it outside on a sunny day. Do Not Tumble Dry.
