Philippe Dion was born in Belgium in 1964. In 1989, the not yet 25-year-old rider and farrier with limited means decided to make his first pair of full chaps himself with the help of his seamstress aunt. With the product catching everyone eye, he made and sold a pair a week the first year, then a pair a day the second year. He finally opened his first workshop in 1990 and Dy’on was born.In 1994 Philippe branched out into bridlework, delivering some of the best quality bridles on the market today. Always on the lookout for innovation and performance and unwilling to accept any compromises in quality, he defines himself as an artisan.
